JEMCO is New Zealand's leading grower / processor / exporter of New Zealand oysters.

During the late 1990's the decision was made by a group of New Zealand oyster farming companies to form a joint venture company - Jemco Ltd.

JEMCO comprises two of New Zealand's largest and most established grower / processor / exporter companies Biomarine Ltd and Pakihi Marine Farms Ltd (Clevedon Coast Oysters), both with extensive farming operations and with 90 years of combined experience.

Jemco's current Board of Directors comprises: Callum McCallum, from Pakihi Marine Farms Ltd and Jim Dollimore from Biomarine Ltd.

JEMCO was specifically formed to develop new long term markets and today it represents in excess of 70% of New Zealand's annual production of Oysters. JEMCO has also been instrumental in improving the Quality of New Zealand Oysters for export through development of advanced techniques for both farming and processing.
